inspiration: KIOSK

I've mentioned how I love going to grocery stores and office supply stores when I travel. I like that much better than going to the usual souvenir shops. I guess a lot of people feel the same, because there's a shop in NYC called KIOSK that has become very popular by carrying a well edited variety of everyday items from around the globe. When I heard about it, it was one of those I'm-kicking-myself-in-the-head-right-now-because-I-wish-I-had-thought-of-that-first moments. Oh well. If you don't live in NYC, you can see their things in their online shop. Their product descriptions read like a hipster version of a J. Peterman catalog, but as Jerry would say, "not that there's anything wrong with that" !

These are actual dowsing rods!

I love Kiosk! Never been to the actual store, but have really enjoyed perusing their online store.

that's pretty cool. i wanted to kick myself when i found out that a lady in san diego has a shop where you can break dishes to relieve stress. and she actually makes money off of that! all dishes are recycled from thrift stores and hotels renovating their dishware collection, and then the broken dishes go to art projects.
