Even though I'd love to have Jean Seberg's haircut in theory, it's another 60's inspired 'do that actually works better with my face and hair texture: long hair and bangs. I think I just might keep wearing variations of it until I am old and grey.
From top to bottom: Brigitte Bardot via Paula Roid, Jane Birkin via William Gibson Board, France Gall via The Fashion Set, Marianne Faithfull via The Stylish Underground, Cher via MSoftmix, Francoise Hardy via The Thinking Tank
p.s. an old college classmate, Sarah Scoville Nielsen, was nice enough to ask me to do a little "tutorial" about letter writing on her blog. You can see it here.

Gah!
i love this!
Seriously, big 60's hair has been on my mind this fall. For the first time in 10 years, I've got long hair and I want to try some of these looks.
Thanks, Eva!
I recently did this and I love it!
I am currently trying to rock the Brigitte...once totally fell in love with a boy who said I looked like Brigitte Bardot...oh those were the days :)
I rock the long(ish) hair and bangs, but don't look any where near as cool as these ladies!
ahh man! makes me want to cut my fringe again!!
Zu, You do kinda look like Brigitte! Esp. when your hair is long like hers.
Ash, I've been loving your hair the way it is lately...but you are one of those people who can pull off almost any hair color and almost any style!
Ash, what I mean to say is - with bangs or without, you look great!
Long hair and bangs -- classic methinks. And happy birthday. :)
i will have to agree with this hairdo. it looks good on just about anyone. sometimes i miss short hair, but i remember how much trimming it needs and don't care to go back. at least not for a while.
thanks Eva...but I don't think I look anything like Brigitte, other than being blond and having round cheeks, but thanks! Now I have fallen in love with you too ;)
