our little life: Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Here are a few things I am thankful for:

+ Pie

+ Curling up with a good book or movie under a flannel-covered down comforter.

+ The daily inspiration and encouragement from all of you and this creative blogging world.

+ The love, support, and fun I have with family and friends.

+ Being able to work each day doing something I love, with the person I love most.

+ The fact that on Sunday night, we survived losing control of the wheel on black ice in Provo Canyon going 50 mph and careening across 4 lanes of traffic. We could have easily crashed into another car, a barrier, or worse yet, gone off a cliff. Instead, there was a surprising lack of cars right around us, we somehow swerved away from the cliff's edge and barrier on the right side of the road, and there happened to be an opening in the center barrier right where we crossed over and finally bumped to a halt on a gentle, snow covered shoulder on the road (instead of a cement retaining wall like in some parts of that canyon). Kirk, the Honda Fit, and I came out completely unscathed. I don't think it's a coincidence. I think that for some reason, God just gave us an amazing wake-up call and chance to continue...

+ Our brand new, top of the line snow tires.
