I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! We've been having a wonderful time with our family members from near and far. It's great seeing how they all love her (almost) as much as Kirk and I do.
At the same time, it's been stressful since we found out last week that Ingrid hadn't been gaining weight and (at five weeks old) still wasn't up to her birth weight. I'm going in this afternoon to see if all the pumping, more frequent and careful feedings, supplementing, prayers, herbal remedies, etc... have paid off. Everything else in my life has pretty much been on hold while we work to fatten up our sweet little girl.

So cute! Love the grandparents with the baby.
How sweet are those pictures!! Rest up and keep doing your best-
breastfeeding is no cuppa tea, I tell ya, but worth it if you can hang in there and take the time. All of parenting takes lots of patience and time so the big changes you are going through are so part of life with children. Has she been smiling and responding to you both? I'm sure she is thriving in her own little ways! Hang in there and enjoy the holidays with family and friends!
she's such a babe! prayers and thoughts going out to you and your beautiful little family!
I can nearly smell that sweet babyhead in the last picture! hang in there, she's only just getting started!
Those adorable grandparents are in my ward-so I know first hand how adorable they really are!
Good thoughts going out to you and your little family!
lovely to see your happy shiny christmas, eva. love to you all, x
Great news everyone! She gained 19 ounces last week which means she's right on track with her weight! We're so happy. Now I need to figure out how to wean her off of the supplemental feedings so she can go back to exclusively breastfeeding. Wish us luck. And thanks to everyone for your encouragement :)
yay for gaining weight! good job ingrid :)
