When I was in high school, I received a set of vintage French books as a gift. I was studying the language in school and although my reading comprehension wasn't yet up to the task, I fell in love with the books anyway. I still love their pretty yellow spines and charming watercolor illustrations. Has anyone read them? I think I should try again...

i love the illustrations!
Wow, I have! I grew up spending every summer in France with my extended family. At the house, there was a copy of "Les petites filles modeles" which I read many times. They're very old fashioned but I loved them. I recognized the cover right away.
Claire - Me, too!
Huldra Press - How amazing that you could spend every summer, there! And the one you read had the same cover? (I did a little research online, and there are many editions with all kinds of different covers, but I do like this one the best, I think!)
It was the same cover. They must have been my grandmother's books when she was little. Thanks for sharing!
